I have recently been updating everything. I've been doing freelance projects outside of working almost full time and been super busy but, I managed to update my portfolio site and my resume. I still need to create a pdf of my resume but, I need to update the program but I at least updated it on my site and as a jpeg for now.

Book Cover- Progress

I  have been busy working on a book cover for a local author in Indiana. It is due friday  so I have been busy. Below, are three sketch ideas I had come up with. He liked the first design so, I am recreating it with a simple shading style and neat linework. I've got a lot to do but, it is close to being completed. Below the sketches I posted my current progress. I'm pretty happy with the outcome so far. I will post the final one and the revisions if there are to be any. :)

Progress so far...

Vandy-The Honey Badger: Character Exploration

Did a couple character designs for the book cover project for Jason Gallegos. He is creating another The Adventures of the Spider Monkey and Billy Goat book this upcoming year and he commissioned me to design the book cover for him. He is an author from Indiana and has written a couple children's books and a couple of other adult books. I will reveal details soon once I am able. :) Here is some exploratory work for his project. I've got lots more work to go. I have permission to use this work in my portfolio.

Getting the Basics of Adobe Illustrator and Beginning Adobe Photoshop Classes for Improvement

I have just recently gotten all the Adobe Suite Programs and now I finally have time to dive into programs and projects! :) So, I have been brushing up on my Adobe Illustrator skills most importantly. I have been using Adobe Photoshop for years but, Adobe Ilustrator I have only been using on and off.  I have been watching tutorials and I'm hoping soon I can post and show you all some nice work in Adobe Illustrator. Let the tutorials begin! :)

I'm also getting ready to start working with this amazing tutorial site for artists! :) My teacher showed me this because I mentioned that I was thinking of going back to school and this he said was the better option. Now that I have the art equipment I will be able to start courses. :)

Here's the website :)
