Code Lyoko?

I couldn't use reference for the code lyoko characters because, I was drawing in the car so, it ended up looking derpy but, I kind of like it in a weird way.

 

 

Investigation

I've been super busy with my senior project so every so I haven't had a whole lot of time to practice my shading and coloring but, I've been working on little doodles that I want to do some days. So, you'll see a lot of sketches that are unfinished but, I want to keep practicing. Here's a quick one that I did today.

Scare-dy Cat

This was my first attempt at a Cup O' Doodle drawing.  Cup O' Doodle has some really cool scribbles that they give you and then you interpret it however you want and make a piece of art out of it.  Here's my first one. I'll show you the progression. I haven't painted much digitally but, i'm slowly getting the hang of it.  Here's the cup o' doodle website: http://cupodoodle.blogspot.com/

Let's play ball!

It usually takes me a while to draw the human body. I'm really not bad at it until I am forces to draw it quickly. So, I want to break out of that habit and a way that I've been doing that is through quick gestural drawings and quick pose lines and then I fill it in. I tried drawing gestural-like and really sketchy it really helps you find the form but, it can also if done wrong, distort it. So, I did a little bit of baseball gestural drawing of people playing baseball. It was quick and fun.
